MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to bring together and successfully operate
numerous diversified brands under the one name. We want
to reach people all around the world and provide them with
quality and innovative products and ideas.
HISTORY
Andrew Ferguson was taking work experience at Pacific Access,
owners of the White and Yellow Pages Australia. He was stuck
on a computer and pretty much given free range for a week.
He decided to start up a web site to pass some time. The
title was Maxsun, but he needed a slogan, he overheard a
few guys talking in the office around him and one man uttered
the words "Trust me mate..". So the slogan of
Trust A Mate was born. The web site eventually evolved and
simply became known as 'Trust A Mate'.
The 'Trust A Mate' brand has
taken on many faces since its humble beginnings in September
2001. The most notable being the creation of Suburbanball.
Suburbanball is an informal sport that has been played in
a number of countries around the world. The success of Suburbanball
can be credited to the brilliant Suburbanball web site which
was provided by 'Trust A Mate'.
Trust A Mate.com is now one
of the premier sites on the internet, it's brands are known
far and wide and it attracts thousands of visitors every
year. From humble beginnings it certainly has been a great
journey for 'Trust A Mate'. Who knows what the future will
hold? Well, according to CEO Andrew Ferguson, the only way
that 'Trust A Mate' is going is up!
The Trust A Mate Sports Network
is now at the heart of Trust A Mate's business. Owning and
operating a number of informal sports brands it links itself
strongly with the community. It is home to some of the great
poker players, legends of the Suburbanball world and pool
& snooker sharks. In the future it looks forward to
developing relationships with other informal sports as well
as taking it's own brands to other places around the world.
